FAILURE ISN’T FINAL

HOPE ni Guiller Valencia

ANG text natin ngayon ay mula sa aklat ng Kawikaan o Proverbs.

“For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity” (Proverbs 24:16).

Sa Biblia ay maraming bayani, subalit si Jesus lang ang perpekto. Lahat ng saints in the biblical records made mistakes, failed, and sinned. Moses lost his temper. Noah got drunk. Si Abraham lied about Sarah. David created a scandal. Jonah ran away. Peter denied Christ. Elijah fell into depression. Paul did what he hated to do and many more.

Sa punto ng buhay ispiritwal, we mustn’t tolerate spiritual failure in our lives. Hindi dapat tayo magkasala para ang biyaya sa atin ay lalong lumaganap.

But on the other hand, kung tayo ay nagkamali o sabi nga ay pumalpak, hindi tayo dapat sumuko. Kung tayo ay maligaw, nariyan ang Diyos, “He will not leave us nor forsake us.”

God is merciful and kind. He is patient and full of love. He knows how to draw us back, and helps us to repent and grow from the experience.

Wika sa Bible, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself” (2 Timothy 2:13).

Sa secular world, millions of people nakaranas na ng failure sa iba’t ibang larangan. Maraming nagtagumpay ay dumanas din ng kabiguan. Subalit hindi ‘yun ang katapusan ng buhay. Failure is part of life, but not the end of life. Ain’t over when God says ain’t over!

Paalala nga ng naging Prime Minister ng England na si Winston Churchill, “Never, never, never, never give up!”

Si dating pangulong Abraham Lincoln ay nakaranas ng failure sa negosyo at sa pulitika; he ran as congressman, senator and loses. But he was elected president and became one of the best presidents in America. Elvis Presley was well known singer in 60’s, his first recordings went nowhere.

Kasabihan nga nating mga Pinoy, “Habang may buhay may pag-asa.” Don’t give up, your miracle is on your way! Obstacles are out there. They are meant to overcome. (gival777@myyahoo.com)
